ABOUT READING WITH DYSLEXIA, LLC
Honest & Efficient Work
My mission at Reading With Dyslexia, LLC is simple: to provide high-quality services for my valued clients. I will go above and beyond to cater to each client's specific needs with or without a diagnosis of dyslexia. Through open communication and exceptional service, I hope you’ll find what you’re looking for with my tutoring service.
In life, my passion has always been to be an educator. I hold three degrees with the highest being a Master of Arts in Teaching, Curriculum and Instruction. My capstone project while earning my Master's Degree was to rewrite my reading program. It encapsulated a research based reading program that was differentiated to meet the learning needs of my students. All of my students benefited from my researched approach which included auditory, visual, and kinesthetic modalities to enable them in becoming better readers. In fact, one second grade parent said, "Mrs. Roser, my daughter never liked to read, but after being in your class, she now loves to read, and I have you to thank for that."
As a former elementary school teacher and tutoring specialist I have worked with various learning styles (Visual, Auditory, and Kinesthetic), common learning challenges (Dyslexia, Dysgraphia, Dyspraxia, ADD/ADHD, Nonverbal Learning, and Autism) and various disorders (Processing Disorder, Auditory Disorder, and Visual Disorder).
My focused passion is working with all students of varying abilities who are challenged in reading, writing, and spelling. Personally, my teaching philosophy is all students can learn, they just need a way in which they can be taught.
Pursuing two years of specialized training in structured literacy with an academic language therapist was one of the best choices I made! The training I received met or exceeded the International Dyslexia Association's Knowledge and Practice Standards.
My two-year training under the direction of an academic language therapist included: instruction that was very explicit, cumulative, multi-sensory, direct, and quite intensive. I participated in coursework training, numerous hours of practicum work, multiple observations, and video recording to observe tactics used.
At Reading With Dyslexia, LLC my intent is to focus on what Margaret Byrd Rawson, who was a former President of IDA, stated, "Dyslexia students need a different approach to learning language from that employed in most classrooms. They need to be taught, slowly and thoroughly, the basic elements of their language--the sounds and the letters which represent them--and how to put these together and take them apart. They have to have lots of practice in having their writing hands, eyes, ears, and voices working together for conscious organization and retention of their learning." In addition, they need a teacher who has a great deal of patience, who is able to deliver these skills. I believe you will find this at Reading With Dyslexia, LLC.

Reading With Dyslexia, LLC was born out of my life's journey, as an educator. There is nothing more priceless to me than sharing in the journey of a student developing their reading, writing, and spelling skills. Witnessing their self-confidence in these core skills is testimony to the success of tutoring students who are challenged in these areas. By enlisting in my tutoring services your child will begin to soar in reading, writing, and spelling!
Be sure to read some of the testimonies of other parents whose children have completed my program, as well as students themselves.
